With a thourough background in the performing arts, Strent is passionate about writing music for musicals, plays, and more. Over the last few years, he's had the privilege of composing music for 3 full length plays and he is currently working on multiple musicals.

In 2024, Strent participated in the BMI Musical Theatre writing workshop as a composer in New York City.
